Moving with Focus

Jun 14, 2021

…and how do you feel?

We have so much energy around us at any given time and having the time to process and move through and on can sometimes feel challenging and sometimes we aren’t even aware or able to articulate how we exactly feel…

One of the main balancers in life of emotions, energy and thoughts is YOGA.

This is simply a gentle reminder of the POWER of this amazing practice.

… and yes that is what it is a practice. We come onto the mats to be attentive and aware and in tune and the more we do the more in tune we become and our connection and Yoga-being is always there with us – connection…

But SO IMPORTANT is the time we care, to give to ourselves that matters. Whether it’s on your bike, surfboard, ski’s, holding a paint-brush, singing, playing a musical instrument, walking, swimming, weights, gym, horse-riding, bush-walking, eating, cooking, cath-ups, running, reading…

…take care to do what you want and how you want!

Alignments/ Adjusting

One simple question?

Where’s my BLISS?

What can we do in the next immediate moment to create our BLISS? Is it as simple as getting up and moving, changing our thoughts so we no longer create the same reality, but in fact are able to change this paradigm of life and see it differently, feel it differently?

…and then live blissfully differently!

BRING IT BACK TO SELF…

YOGA – ONENESS – CONNECTION – FLOW – CONTINUITY – SELF-AWARENESS – LEARNING – LIVING – LOVING – GROWTH – STILLNESS – MOVEMENT – BREATH – BODY – MIND – STUDY – OTHER – ONE AND THE SAME – UNDERSTANDING – CHANGING – PROCESSING – COMMUNITY – FAMILY – CARE
NIYAMA’S – Personal Self Care

“As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world as in being able to remake ourselves.”
Mohandas K. Ghandi

The 2nd Limb of YOGA (in the 8 Limbs of YOGA) brings our attention to our body and immediate surroundings. The Ni-Yama’s are internal yama’s (the 1st limb), and this 2nd limb is about us treating ourselves with care and improve our quality of observing ourselves, and implementing changes in our lives that can transform our personality and contribute to our contentment and happiness.

  1. Sauca – Cleanliness of body, heart-mind, and surroundings
  2. Santosa: Contentment
  3. Tapas:: Practice causing positive change
  4. Svadhyaya: Study by and of oneself
  5. Isvara-pranidhana: Humility and Faith

We take care of our body, mind and spirit, to access our BLISS, our PEACE and CONTENTMENT our CONNECTION.

EXERCISES:

  1. What do I do now to practice self care?
  2. How do I feel about my practices?
  3. Do they feel like obligations, or do they give me pleasure?
  4. What else could I do?
