2022 -We’ve started and Vishuddhi Chakra

2022

Well how flexible are we feeling at the moment? Have you had a break or continued with some stretching, strength or rehab practices?
What keeps you going or what has kept you going?

I’ve had a mini break from any full on asana sessions, a bit of mindfulness and some rehab stretching and foam rollering has been my go to! My body needed the rest and I’ve done some reading and movie’s which has been really enjoyable.

Did anyone do any of the On-demand pre-recorded sessions?
Moving forward…

“In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life; it goes on.” – Robert Frost

We are in motion for 2022 (at this stage anyway)…
What do you like?
What would you like more or less of?
As we roll along – please let me know if you have any favourites or what you’d like more or less of?
I hope you’ve all had a great break so far and look ahead at the timetable and see where you can get in motion.

Vishuddhi: 5th CHAKRA

Located in the throat – deep in the back of the throat.

Vishuddhi =
Vi – very deep
Shuddhi – Puification

“I follow and speak my truth. I speak from the heart. I let the truth be my guide. I speak with clear intent. I use the power of words to make the world a better place. It’s getting easier and easier to express what I think and feel. Creativity flows in and through me. I hear and speak the truth.” – Yoga Teacher Central

Visshuddhi Chakra governs the ears and the vocal cords, the region of the larynx, the thyroid and the parathyroid glands. It is the centre related with communication. The throat centre is the place where the divine nectar called amrita (the immortal elixir) is tasted. The nectar is a sweet secretion which is produced at bindu chakra and falls down to Vishuddhi where it is purified and processed for further use throughout the body. For concentration on this centre: visualise a large white drop of nectar, try to experience it as icy cold and sweet falling down the back of the throat into Visshudhi, giving a feeling of blissful intoxication. – Asana, Pranayama, Mudra, Bandha – Swami Satyananda Saraswati

Our body is an instrument played by divine breath.  It is our job to keep the instrument well tuned and to listen to the voice of truth moving through us.
