???? BIG CONGRATS TO THESE NEWLY 200Hr QUALIFIED YOGA TEACHERS ????

…and what a year it’s been!
These 4 Amazing Women are NOW 200HR FULLY QUALIFIED YOGA TEACHER’S and RECOGNISED by the Governing Body of Yoga Teacher’s in Australia, Yoga Australia.

???? We had full attendance for every class. Not one class was missed whether it was on our Zoom links during lock-down or our face to face classes, these 4 showed up and weathered through the up’s N down’s, the in’s N out’s and committed to being here on the journey!

Kudos to you all for the journey that has evolved and for the journey that continues as it does for all of us!

BIGGEST CONGRATS TO YOU ALL AND ANYONE LOOKING FOR A GOOD YOGA TEACHER, I CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM ALL!
LOOK OUT LOU, I BETTER PICK MY GAME UP!!

“Success is not Final, Failure is not Fatal,
It is the courage to continue that COUNTS! “
– Winston Churchill

As the end of year draws near and we get occupied with family and friends and catch up’s – some good and some not so good, can we take the time for ourselves to acknowledge where we’ve got to this year? Have we committed ourselves to something? Did we get through a tough and unexpected year? Have we been able to maintain our self through all the lock-downs and support ourselves? Have we been there for other’s?

Where have you continued through this last year? Where and how have you grown?

…and where do you continue to grow and shine and know there’s more to learn, do and achieve in this life. Whether it’s retirement, connection to family and friends, a new job or hobby – where do you continue to grow and flourish?

For me today especially, I’ve moved furniture back into place and made the training studio my home again, I’ve gone through I think 20 years of yoga notes and sulo-binned the old notes I no longer need after this 1st year of Teacher Training! I’ve found a new home for files and documents so I can have a clear energy now for the new coming energies. I’ve moved and shifted furniture into new places and feel the change and energy renewing!

We soaked and scrubbed the feet to step into the new, refreshed and revitalised. We smudged and cleared the energy for the new, honour how you are, honour where you’re at and honour your next steps…

SWADHISTHANA: 2ND CHAKRA

Located approximately 2 finger width’s above and slightly behind our base chakra is the location of Swadhisthana.
Swadhisthana
Swa = self
Sthan = dwelling place

“I follow where inspiration leads, I am creative, I feel blessed, I go with the flow, I am loved, I adapt to all situations with grace, I release ideas that are no longer useful, I deserve pleasure in my life, I embrace and celebrate my sexuality, I move easily and effortlessly, I flow with the rhythms of life. – AllChakras.com / yogateachercentral.com

Through our practice this week, please maintain a focus on our flow, feelings in the poses, expansion and pleasure. So if there is discomfort in the pose, then release, change it, move it to somewhere other where you feel more expressive and open.

Go with the flow this week, find the mobility and flowing feeling as we move and transition from one pose to the next. It’s allowing the hips to open, and transition with as much grace and flow as you can with a feeling of enjoyment as you flow.

Feel expansive this week and let the openness flow through your body – you may feel more circulation through the body, warming and flowing energy.

On a deeper level, Swadhisthana is the seat of the collective and individual unconscious. It is the storehouse of all samskara’s, past mental impressions stored in the form of archetypes. By purifying this chakra we transcend the animal nature.

???? VIsualise a deep, dark ocean with dark waves beneath a night sky, The tides of the ocean represent the ebb and flow of awareness.

Vam (pronounced more as “Vum”) -the beeja mantra is Vam – through the practice silently repeat the mantra Vam to yourself as a tool to stabilise the mind and body.

Element: Water, knowing that water fills the shape that contains it, so let yourself fill your shape.

Mudra: Water element – touch thumb and little fingers together.

Let yourself surrender to the ebb and flow of feeling the practice. Move easily and flow into poses with as much ease and grace as you can. The previous week was our foundational work and then it’s like the teenagers in the family, finding themselves – stepping into their freedom and wanting to find their flow – can we remember back to then – trying to find our expression of flow – See you flowing this week – hopefully with a little more grace than then :-))

Flow onto your mat, don’t make it hard!!!

Dear Lou,

I can’t begin to describe how grateful I am for you and your decision to run a teacher training course.  Thank you for providing such a safe, accepting, open and fun space for us to explore and learn and grow.  I appreciate you sharing so much of your knowledge and yourself with us.  To say this experience has been life changing just doesn’t seem enough.

Again, thank you for being with me on this journey.
