Keeping it Real | Life In Motion

REALITY

Do you ever remember when you thought something and after some time your thoughts and views changed and you see and know something completely different to the reality you thought it was! Gossip, someone’s perspective of a story – then there’s another point of view!
Aging and the information age we live in all provides us with so many different perspectives in which way we choose to understand and live our lives by.

It’s all in the learning to trust our own ways and find our own truths. And as soon as we find that truth it perhaps changes yet again, and so we’re on the road again – so to speak!

Moving with Purpose
…and yet again the landscape changes and we are moving and shifting.

For a lot of you who are continually practicing and coming onto the mats – this changing reality is something that we learn and connect into, as every time we come onto the mat, we are different!
Our poses are different and feel differently, our focus in the pose with the weekly themes make us see, feel and integrate the poses differently. Within the duration of the class our poses feel different as we’ve changed and our awareness of them has changed!

Our connection to ourselves feels different and so this holding on and grasping to the old becomes obsolete. We change and shift and life around us changes and shifts into the paradigm as we now see, feel and interpret it!

Weekly Themes

I’ve been continuing with a focus for the week and this helps us to either experience the poses and the classes differently and perhaps considering poses and flows and holds in a different way to that which we may normally do so! Perhaps it changes our reality in the present moment!

I’d be interested to know if you have a theme, style or something you’d like to explore a little more and if I have the expertise i’m happy to see how we can integrate it in.

YOUR FEEDBACK ON THIS IS GREATLY APPRECIATED AND HELPFUL TO KNOW IF YOU LIKE THIS STYLE?

Prepare for your week ahead, book into a class today and join me on Zoom and prioritise your wellness.

Meditation | Mental Awareness Month- October

REMINDER
On the www, listed under the On-demand section there is the Mental Awareness Month and within this section there are short under 10 minute mindfulness and focusing inward practices you can do at home.

MINDFULNESS V’S MEDITATION

Perhaps Mindfulness is the practice of becoming aware whereas Meditation is being aware and at one!

A practice to help us keep ourselves centred and balanced and able to see the truth and the reality as it is rather than our perspective on the subject is Mindfulness.

Meditation is the moment of being there in the moment in the open-ness and one-ness and spaciousness of being!

Our mind jockey’s back and forth however if we take time with mindfulness practices the mind can become more balanced and we use the practices of Mindfulness to bring the attention to the one point fixed attention and then along the journey and practice practice practices of Mindfulness perhaps meditation occurs -where we are no longer separate from the object and focussing on it, but we have become one with the object/subject of our attentions.

I.E: Walking Meditations, Sun-gazing, Tratak – candle gazing, Pranayama techniques – Breath work, Guided Meditations are all forms of Mindfulness

Meditation: A Sense on Oneness, Spaciousness, Awareness – Being at one.

All our realities are different, I can walk down a street and see something completely different to a friend walking by my side! In this knowledge perhaps it makes us more sensitive to the differences and hence the understanding of knowing we are all in our own realities!

Have a lovely week and I look forward to our mindfulness through classes this coming week. See you all on Zoom.
